Jeffrey Launay is Vice-President, Human Resources and HR Chief of Staff at Apotex, a Canadian-based global pharmaceutical company. In his role he is responsible for all Corporate and Commercial Business Partnering along with regional HR teams and global HR shared services. Previously, Jeff served as Vice President, Human Resources, Global Service Delivery at STEMCELL Technologies, Canada’s largest biotechnology company, where he led the global HR business partnering and HR operations teams. Prior to STEMCELL, Jeff was the Senior Director, Human Resources, Global Consumer Health at Mundipharma, where he provided HR leadership to the Mundipharma Global Consumer Health and Specialty Pharmacy Division. Jeff transitioned to Human Resources after a successful Commercial career with progressive roles in Sales and Marketing; he was the Senior Product Manager, Oncology and later on the National Sales Manager, Oncology at GlaxoSmithKline and also, he was the Director, Commercial Effectiveness and later on the Director, Marketing at Elvium Life Sciences. He has broad global experience, and has worked in Canada, the US and the UK. Jeff holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Toronto, and a BSc (Honours) in Biology and BA in Psychology from Queen’s University.
