As a seasoned strategic talent advisor passionate about driving and delivering change, Krista Skalde joined Inovia Capital in April 2021, responsible for the design and implementation of talent management, organizational effectiveness solutions, and market-aligned HR practices to drive business performance, both internally within Inovia and with Inovia’s Portfolio Companies. Prior to Inovia, Krista was with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, leading human capital due diligence in portfolio company acquisitions, and value creation deliverables. She has held different roles in organizational and leadership development, as well as working as an independent consultant, in different geographies around the world. Her work has spanned industries such as Investment Management, Corporate Hospitality, Insurance, Banking/Finance, Technology, Transport, Automotive/Aeronautical, and Pharmaceutical.
Examples of roles held / projects delivered include:
- In the Investment Management Industry, led the organizational redesign, talent alignment and change management efforts for an internal client segment undergoing a major strategy shift from an indirect to a direct investment model.
- In the Corporate Hospitality Industry, was the Director, Management Institute, responsible for a major Leadership Development and Change Management initiative for the company’s top 1,500 leaders.
- In the Banking Industry, developed and deployed an HR as Business Partner training program, with emphasis on the change and coaching skills required of the client’s HR Partners in making the shift to Business Partner.
- In the Insurance Industry, defined a governance framework for a newly-fortified corporate function within the client organization, focused on helping the organization reach its 2020 vision.
- In the Automotive Industry, defined the management model for a new joint venture between a major French automotive manufacturer and a major German automotive manufacturer.
- In the Transport Industry, as part of the merger of two major transport operators, led the detailed design and optimization of the new Corporate organization and the change platform to accompany its implementation.
- In the Aeronautical Industry, contributed to a significant organizational transformation with one of the leaders in the industry, with a focus on the implementation of a change management platform.
- In the Finance Industry, defined and deployed leadership competency profiles and learning plan frameworks.

Over her career, Krista has spent time working in Canada and the U.S., Japan, France, and now the United Arab Emirates. Her work has included project delivery across Europe, Brazil, Colombia, India, China and Hong Kong. Krista completed her undergraduate and post-graduate work in political science, with honorable mention for her pre-doctoral thesis on independence movements. She is MBTI Step I and II certified, holds a diploma from the Ashridge Business School in Executive Coaching, a coaching certificate in Organization Relationship & Systems (ORS)@Work, a certificate from Ashridge Hult in Advanced Organizational Design, and is certified in Predictive Role Profiling for High-Performing Teams. She is currently completing her CAIA Fundamentals of Alternative Investing (FAI) certification. She is fully bilingual (English and French) and holds dual citizenship (Canada and France).
