Tara Ataya is the Interim Chief Customer Officer at Hootsuite, where she leads the global customer organization and oversees every stage of the customer journey.
Tara brings a results-driven, people-first approach to customer leadership, with nearly two decades of experience building and leading high-performing teams across SaaS and professional services. Her leadership is grounded in delivering consistent, impactful experiences that strengthen customer partnerships, foster retention, and drive measurable business results.
Tara also has a deep understanding of Hootsuite’s business and culture, having previously served as the company’s Chief People and Diversity Officer. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in shaping Hootsuite’s inclusive culture, scaling people operations globally, and leading the company through major organizational transformation.
Her cross-functional expertise, spanning HR strategy, operational transformation, leadership development, and M&A, uniquely positions her to align Hootsuite’s internal teams around a unified vision for customer success.
Prior to Hootsuite, Tara served as VP of HR at Vision Critical (now Alida), Canada’s leading CXM SaaS company, where she led global people operations, business technology, and payroll. She also held senior leadership roles at Sierra Systems and Deloitte.
